Mission & Goals

The National Society for American Indian Elderly (NSAIE) was established in 1987 as a 501 (c) (3) organization to improve the quality of life for on-reservation and rural American Indian senior citizens by supporting a network of tribally established and administered services.

The mission of the National Society for American Indian Elderly is to improve the conditions, health and well-being of American Indian, Alaska Native and Pacific American Elders, while honoring the cultures and traditions of the peoples we serve.

We foster improved conditions for Native Elderly in full partnership with our member Tribes. We strive to allow Native Elders to stay in their homes as respected members of their communities and keepers of their traditions, by extending support in ways that keeps their cultural identities intact.
